The Sage School of Philosophy is delighted to announce that Professor David Shoemaker, formerly of Tulane University, has joined the Sage School faculty, effective July 1, 2021.
As announced in the Daily Nous blog, Professor Shoemaker is renowned for his work on agency and responsibility, personal identity and ethics, moral psychology, normative ethics, and social and political philosophy. He is also one of the co-founders of the philosophy blog, PEA Soup. You can learn more about his research here.
Professor Shoemaker is the founder and organizer of the NOWAR (New Orleans Workshop in Agency and Responsibility) biennial workshop. Beginning in the fall of 2021, Cornell University will be a lead sponsor and occasional host of the workshop.
