EPL Program Coordinator-Philosophy, Program on Ethics and Public Life
The Opportunity
We are seeking a motivated and organized individual to join our team as the Philosophy Department EPL Program Coordinator. This position plays a pivotal role in supporting our department, the Program on Ethics and Public Life (EPL), and the Law and Society minor.
Key Responsibilities:
Both Departmental and Ethics and Public Life Program (EPL) Support:

Coordinate events, including budget management, logistics, and communication.

Troubleshoot travel-related issues and process travel and financial transactions.

Maintain department website and social media profiles, develop promotional materials, and handle news media activities.
Departmental Support:

Philosophy Department front office coverage.

Manage key control and room scheduling.

Develop databases, track statistics, and maintain department signage and directories.

Track and support students enrolled in the Philosophy Minor.

Provide backup support for undergraduate and graduate programs as needed.
Ethics and Public Life Program (EPL):

Coordinate annual spring conference and public debate series in collaboration with the Law School.

Manage the Scholars at Risk visiting fellowship program, including advertising, applicant coordination, and financial matters.

Work closely with the Director to facilitate event arrangements and logistics.

Track and support students enrolled in the Ethics and Public Life Program.
Law and Society Minor:

Collaborate with faculty co-directors to track student registration and progress toward graduation.

Ensure compliance with minor requirements and provide support to students through graduation.
This is a full-time (39 hours/week for 9 months/year AND 20 hours/week for the remaining 3 months/year)
Endowed position that is based in Ithaca, NY and fully on-site.
Typical work hours are 8:00am-4:30pm Monday through Friday.
