Overview
Qiu Lin completed her Ph.D at Duke in July 2022 and joined Cornell's Sage School of Philosophy as a Postdoctoral Associate in September 2022. Her main research areas are Early Modern Philosophy, History and Philosophy of Science, and Chinese Philosophy, especially Chinese Islamic Philosophy.
Her research is inspired by the recognition that the historiography of philosophy —in the Western and Chinese traditions alike — unjustly ignores many non-canonical figures, so she is committed to addressing this problem through her own work.
She is the winner of the 2023 Einstein Fellowship, awarded jointly by the Einstein Forum and the Wittenstein Foundation. Her project How She Disappeared and What We Ought To Do was selected from more than 1,000 applications globally.
